Product Description
The Red Bourbon Washed from Finca Majahual represents the farm’s classic expression of El Salvador’s most iconic varietal. Grown between 1,500 and 1,800 meters in the cool microclimate of the Los Naranjos Valley, this coffee is carefully handpicked, fully washed, and dried with meticulous attention to detail to highlight its crisp structure and balanced sweetness. In the cup: red apple, caramel, and plum.
The washed process preserves the clarity and brightness of the coffee, enhancing the natural sweetness while allowing the terroir to shine through. After selective picking, the cherries are depulped and fermented before being washed and placed on raised beds for slow, even drying. This controlled process ensures the coffee develops clean, refined flavors that reflect the farm's dedication to quality.
Finca Majahual has built a reputation for innovation, transparency, and community impact under the leadership of Patrick Murray. The farm’s ongoing social programs—supporting education, healthcare, and local development—are deeply intertwined with its coffee production.
