Product Description

This Arara microlot comes from Sítio Joaninha, located in the Boa Vista community near Caconde in Brazil’s Mogiana region. The farm sits at 1240 meters and is run by Valdir and Daniela Ferreira, who work the land alongside their family and have steadily improved quality through careful harvesting and natural processing.

The name Sítio Joaninha refers to the ladybugs that once thrived in these coffee fields. As farming intensified in the region, insects disappeared. Over time, Valdir and Daniela shifted their approach, focusing on healthier soils and a more balanced ecosystem, allowing life to return to the farm alongside improved cup quality.

This harvest was particularly challenging, with high market prices creating uncertainty across the region. While many coffees moved through the market without clear selection, Valdir and Daniela chose to continue working with us, reserving their best lot for our program as they have done for many years. That commitment allows us to offer a coffee that reflects both place and long-term collaboration.

The farm’s name, inspired by the ladybug (Joaninha in Portuguese), reflects its mission to restore balance to the ecosystem.
