The Phoenician Scheme Colaboration
Approved for Use Aboard Select Phoenician Routes
In early 2024, we joined the set of Wes Anderson’s The Phoenician Scheme as the official coffee provider. For several months, we served coffee to Zsa-Zsa Korda’s entourage, Liesl’s fellow postulants, and her tutor, Björn—among other questionable characters—on location, on soundstage, and once from a tray that was not, technically, a prop. The crew was focused. The pacing was deliberate. Our job was to keep the coffee consistent, diplomatic, and just outside the frame.
To mark the release of Wes Anderson’s newest film, we partnered with Wes, Focus Features, and our longtime design collaborators, Sunst Studio, to create a limited-edition coffee travel set—one that appears in the film itself. The result: a small and peculiar inflight collection, assembled with the same attention to detail that guided every frame of the production.
The set is limited to 72 pieces and includes:
- A hand-numbered Air Korda Coffee Travel Bag, as used on board by Liesl
- A porcelain cup and saucer by ACME
- A Diplomatic Coffee Passport (for varietals, observations, or suspicions)
- A Coffee Map of Phoenicia
- A pencil and sharpener
- And a single-origin Ethiopian coffee, slow-dried in Shoondhisa, Guji, and roasted specifically for this release This is not a prop. It is actual coffee.
Or for those of you who are not so adventurous:
- A standalone box of coffee for everyone, suitable for filter or modern espresso brewing.
Now shipping from Phoenicia (via Berlin).
Now playing in select theaters. Everywhere June 6.
