A New Elephant in Town: KaDeWe Berlin!

After a long period of planning, months of meetings, a meticulous tasting of champagne and an intense period of building, we can happily announce our upcoming collaboration with one of the world's greatest luxury department stores, KaDeWe. Opening at the end of November 2019 on the building's 6th floor, our new location will include both a cafe, designed in the same lineage of our Berlin-Mitte shop, and our very first retail shop, which we are very excited about.

The new Five Elephant cafe will offer the same selection of our own roasted coffees as our two existing shops, and the same wide selection of baked goods, alongside additional menu items - such as a cinnamon raisin bagel with a maple cream cheese filling. The cafe will serve upto three different kinds of Cheesecake - including our classic, Philadelphia Cheesecake - fruit pies, and Whoopie pies.

FIlling out our menu, we will also be offering a carefully selected natural wine, champagne, and beer menu, as well as some very special coffee cocktails - which we aim to combine to create a different take on the Five Elephant experience. This is the first time we'll be serving alcohol in one of our locations, and we look forward to incorporating this new element in our company, bringing our focus on high quality, sustainability, and freshness to these products that we love.

One of the things we're most excited about is the opening of our first-ever retail store, right next to the new cafe. The store will offer not only a selection of our changing seasonal coffees for home brewing, but also unique Five Elephant merchandise, and a collection of the very best home brewing accessories in the world - from industry-leading batch-brewers, to pour over funnels and La Marzocco Home Espresso machines. This location will give us the opportunity to interact with passionate coffee lovers and home brewers both new and old, share our views on how to brew the best coffee possible, and get feedback from our costumers. Talking about coffee is our favorite thing to do, and we hope to turn our retail store into a space where we can share our passion for coffee with our customers.

Working with KaDeWe marks a significant moment in the development of our company, and we feel that it provides a real testimony to the long way we've come since opening the doors to our little cafe on a sleepy street in Kreuzberg in 2010. We're honored to be joining forces with a company as invested in high-quality products and excellence as we try to be, and we're very much looking forward to seeing you at our new space.
