Five years ago we committed to a new area of production on the highest slope of the farm - El Olimpo. It’s also one of the highest points in all of El Salvador where coffee can be grown.
We are now in the second production harvest of this Geisha varietal, which is maturing towards a Geisha cup profile, still heavily influenced by the Salvadorian terroir.
The small plateau of El Olimpo, is a historically important family garden of hydrangeas, surrounded by pine trees and the sweetest “oranges” you can find in the world .
Each year, the coffees produced at Finca El Majahual are not only outstanding, but also inspiring - with new processing techniques involved, and new social initiatives launched and supported by the premiums paid for the lots we buy from this farm.
