The original Kalita wave dripper was designed to improve the quality of your brew – no matter if you are a professional or a home barista.

The restricted contact surface between the paper filter and dripper is achieved by 20 waves on the side of the paper filter. The drippers' elevation and three holes on the bottom create an even contact time between the water and coffee. The wave feature also keeps the water temperature intact, increasing the coffee extraction.

For best results, use Kalita Wave filter 185. 

Our recommended brew recipe:

1. 15/16g ground coffee in the Kalita dripper (paper filter inside). 
   
   
2. Start the timer and pour in 40g of water.
   
   
3. At 30 seconds, pour water up to 150g in a circular slow motion, finishing the pour on the outer ring without having to return to the middle. 
   
   
4. At 1:05 minutes, pour water up to 250g in a circular slow motion, finishing the pour on the outer ring without having to return to the middle.
