About PERU- Incahuasi Cooperative, Twin Sector Reserve

Situated in the Incahuasi Valley, at altitudes ranging from 1850 to 2450 meters, this region boasts unique micro-climates influenced by the Choquesafra and Coisopacana mountains, producing exceptional coffee.

Tradition and Sustainability
The Incahuasi farmers continue Inca traditions such as Minka (community work sharing) and Ayni (mutual farming assistance). They use sustainable agroforestry techniques, interspersing indigenous shade trees like Cedro, Tarco, and Robelandyanay to maintain ecological balance. Guided by agronomists, they employ organic composting and fertilization twice yearly, with meticulous weeding and pruning from May to September and irrigation from natural springs during the dry season.

Unique Harvesting
Harvesting in the Incahuasi Valley is among the latest in Peru, starting in September and peaking in October, with higher altitudes harvested in November and December. This careful, extended harvesting ensures the highest quality beans.
